Cunila origanoides Common Dittany is a pleasantly scented member of the mint family growing only 8 to 18 inches tall with light lavender to white flowers.  Cunila origanoides Common Dittany leaves are aromatic and minty when crushed.   They can be used to make a fragrant herbal tea, 3 to 4 dried or fresh leaves are placed in a cup of boiling water with honey.  Cunila origanoides Common Dittany will be an attractive addition to your butterfly garden.
